Ok, so my input jack on my guitar looks burnt. What's up with that?
It's a reissue of a 72' Tele Deluxe. The neck pickup has stopped working, all wiring looks good per online pdf of the original wire schematic. Only weird thing is that the input jack looks like someone took a lighter to it. The wire ends are melted and charred as well as some char on the piece that makes contact with the cable tip. This makes no sense to me. Please help!
Almost sounds like someone plugged the guitar into the output jack of a power amp.
